S.A.A.L is a book that was designed as a means of self-portraiture, expressing a certain part of myself that I have grown aware of and ultimately despise. The text expresses negative qualities that I display, while the image-making tries to hide away from and deny those qualities. I put all of my vulnerabilities out in the form of photography and collage and through making this handheld journey, I have grown to realize that I shouldn’t be so hard on myself. I am only human.

Digital collages made with royalty-free, found images. Layering, composition, and mood are explored through the use of combining images with unique textures, shapes, and lighting. Traditional hand-done marks and sketches are incorporated to create depth and variety in the visual elements depicted.

Handmade collages made with found images and traditional hand-done marks and illustrations. Subjects depicted are made using a variety of mediums, like paint, pastels, marker, ink, and manipulated printed imagery.
